Nowadays, as the new crown pneumonia epidemic becomes normal, new changes have taken place in the export of epidemic prevention materials. The export of masks last year was relatively good, and this year has slowed down. In contrast, protective clothing has become the next main product exported by enterprises. According to statistics, protective clothing is the largest transaction volume now, including the Philippines, Malaysia and other countries in Southeast Asia, and the export volume is very large.
In the early stage of the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia, the supply of medical equipment products such as masks, disposable microporous coverall, and ventilators exceeded demand. Domestic companies seized the opportunity to achieve rapid expansion of the production capacity of textiles such as masks. However, the large number of companies producing anti-epidemic materials and the low barriers to market entry have made the market saturated.
After the epidemic has normalized, as the main anti-epidemic materials exported in 2020, the export transaction situation of masks has gradually returned to rationality. Compared with the “cold” masks, the protective clothing displayed offline seems to be more favored by overseas customers, and many buyers stay for a longer time at the booths where the protective clothing is displayed.
At present, the ASEAN epidemic situation continues to be severe, the United States, Australia and other developed countries have maintained high demand for epidemic prevention materials, and the demand for medical microporous coverall in the East Asian and European markets is also increasing.
